What a busy first week! It has been quite a whirl-wind with everything there is to take in at a new job and school. I've loved getting to meet every student, and I'm confident I can learn all those names in no time! I can tell already that there are quite a few talented artists at this school, and even more wonderful, helpful kids.
In each class this week after we did introductions and I went over all my rules and expectations and the like, students did a short drawing exercise. I asked students to draw something that reflects something about their personality or life in general. It's a pretty broad topic, yes, and students put quite a range of different things on their papers, as expected.
There are more exciting projects to come in the future, keep checking back as the school year progresses!
