IHM students returned to school in January with great art-anticipation. Since we've been back, some classes have been finishing work from December, and some have started new projects. 7th and 5th grade students are working on projects relating to Native American art, 8th graders have begun a clay unit, 2nd and 4th grades are each in the midst of a painting project, and 1st and 3rd graders are both drawing.
All in all, there are lots of exciting things happening in the art room right now! We've talked about submitting artwork to be in the Catholic Schools Week Talent Show, but unfortunately there are not many submissions - but there is still time! If your child has artwork they've created at home or a project from earlier in the school year that they are especially proud of, encourage them to come talk to myself or Mrs. Grossman about a submission. And whether or not your child has a Talent Show entry, I certainly hope you can join us for the show on Thursday afternoon at 1:30. Hope to see you there!
